Roskilde Festival

Glyphs, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects

This project is a bespoke variable-type system for Playtype, the Danish typefoundery behind Roskilde Festival’s identity. They requested a typographic campaign for the nonprofit subsector, focused on community engagement, crowd control, and safety, covering wayfinding, advertising, and environmental graphics.

The typeface is a constructed system that responds to sound data but remains functional across print, digital, and spatial contexts. As an investigation, the project explores how type can shift between legibility and expression, mapping volume and BPM to form, rhythm, and movement.
